On Sunday the 30-09-12 at around midday thousands of people marched along Sydney road from Coburg to Brunswick to honour Jill Meagher’s life. The march stopped for a minute’s silence in a park near the corner of Sydney Road and Brunswick Road.

John Kavanagh, Moreland Mayor, said that the march was organized by the community and that the outpouring of grief over Ms Meagher’s death has been overwhelming.

Philip Werner, march organizer, said that the turnout is a sign of how strongly the community feels about Ms Meagher’s death.
