On Saturday the 09-09-12 at around 5.00 am a violent altercation erupted between a group of men in Queen Street. Two men were stabbed, a nineteen-year-old, who was treated at The Alfred Hospital, and a twenty-year-old -year-old, who was treated at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, while a third nineteen-year-old male received head injuries and was also treated at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Melbourne CIU detectives have taken a twenty-four-year-old male into custody while two other men, aged twenty-six and twenty-seven years were also arrested.
