On Monday the 25-08-14 at around 10.40 am a nineteen-year-old girl was walking along Atherton Road in Oakleigh when she noticed a male leaning against the bonnet of his motor vehicle with the motor running and the passenger door was slightly opened. As the teenager walked past the male grabbed her by her arm dragging her towards the motor vehicle. The victim screamed and kicked the assailant enabling her to escape and ran to a nearby retail premises for assistance. The assailant was described as being aged in his fifties, of Southern European appearance, approximately 170cm tall and of medium build. Police are appealing for public assistance to the attempted abduction.
