On the 11-02-13 at around 8.40 pm paramedics were treating a twenty-nine-year-old male on the side of the Maroondah Highway in Mooroolbark when he struck one of the paramedics to the face and fled. The offender also struggled with police and managed to break free and was then struck by a motor vehicle and sustained head injuries and a broken leg.
