On the 09-07-12 at around 5.00 pm an eighty-four-year-old woman was attacked at her from door in Glenhuntly Road causing her to fall to the ground while the assailant fled with her handbag. There have been five such similar incidents since early May 2012.

On the 12-05-12 a seventy-eight-year-old woman was attacked from behind as she opened her front door in Caulfield and dragged along the ground and on the same day a ninety-four-year-old woman from Elsternwick was also attacked from behind as she unlocked her front door and thrown down a series of steps with the assailant stealing a small amount of money on both occasions. On the 16-05-12 a seventy-eight-year-old woman had her hand bag stolen in Brighton while returning home from shopping. On the 23-06-12 an eighty-five-year-old woman was threatened with a knife in St. Kilda before the assailant snatched her handbag and pushed her to the ground.
