The Office of Crime Prevention in Western Australia is handing out free anti-burglary kits to victims of crime in that state.
The kits contain security floodlights, window locks and door entry alarms.
Kelly Howlett, The Mayor of Port Hedland, said that 200 kits are available and will be given to victims of home robberies.
The aim is to be proactive to prevent further crimes as the same or homes in the immediate vicinity are often targeted again.
What a great initiative and one which we hope will spread throughout Australia.
