On the 01-09-14 at around 1.20 am two armed male offenders entered the bottle shop on Bedford Road in Ringwood and demanded cash. A scuffle then ensued between the male bottle shop attendant and the two assailants during which the attendant sustained a laceration to his hand. The offenders then stole cash and fled in a stolen silver Holden Commodore which soon collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Station Street and Warrandyte Road. The offenders alighted and fled while the female driver of the second car was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Police believe that the robbery is linked to five other armed robberies at service stations in Frankston, Black Rock, Patterson Lakes, Hastings and Crib Point.
