On the 18-09-18 at around 7.20am three men entered the tobacco store on Evans Street in Sunbury wearing balaclavas over their faces. One offender jumped over the service counter and grabbed the fifty-one-year-old female store attendant by her hair, forcing her to open two registers, while demanding cash. The two other offenders went into a rear storeroom and loaded a large quantity of cigarettes into a blanket as well as forcing their way into a rear office area where they stole cash as well as the victim’s handbag. The three offenders ran from the store and got into a black Holden Cruze sedan, registration AAI-002. As they attempted to flee the scene the offenders collided with another vehicle and sustained substantial damage to the front passenger-side door. Police are appealing for witnesses.
