On the 7th December 2013 just after 2.30 am a twenty-four-year-old female was walking along Kings Way in South Melbourne when she was approached by an unknown male with a skateboard who attempted to talk with her. The female attempted to ignore the male and was talking on her mobile phone when he grabbed her from behind and dragged her into a motor vehicle sales yard where he sexually assaulted her. The male assailant then stole her credit card before fleeing. Sexual Crime Squad detectives are appealing for witnesses to help identify the victim’s attacker. The assailant is described as being of South American appearance and aged in his late teens to early twenties.
