On Saturday the 25-08-12 at around 2.30 am a twenty-five-year-old female was walking through St Kilda when she asked a male of Asian appearance for directions. The male directed her into a laneway and then forced her to the ground before indecently assaulting her. The victim managed to fight off the assailant and ran from the scene and informed police. The traumatised victim is an overseas visitor who had only been in Australia for several days.
