On Wednesday the 16th January 2012 at around 10.00 pm a thirty-year-old man from Epping was shot to the leg in the car park of a High Street Lalor supermarket. It is believed that the victim was standing in the car park when he was approached by the assailant and an altercation occurred before the assailant produced a firearm and shot the victim. The assailant then fled in a black sedan. The victim was treated to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
