On Monday the 02-02-15 at around 6.30 am a thirty-seven-year-old male victim attended at an apartment in Dorcas Street South Melbourne after receiving a telephone call from the female occupant. Once there the victim was confronted by another male who he asked to leave and a fight then ensued during which the victim was seriously stabbed to the chest. The victim was treated at the Royal Melbourne Hospital with life threatening injuries. The assailant was described as being Caucasian, aged between thirty and forty years, around 170cm tall and of thin build with short brown hair. South Melbourne police are appealing for public assistance to locate the assailant.
