On the 29th December 2014 at around 3.50 am a twenty-year-old male was riding his bike under the Princess Bridge along the Yarra River when he was stopped by two unknown males who were also on bikes. The two males proceeded to physically assault the victim stealing his mobile phone before riding off. The victim sustained a swollen eye and a swollen jaw as well as a loose tooth.

Later that same morning at around 4.00 am two men were walking along Market Street in South Melbourne towards their motor vehicle when they were approached by two males. The two males demanded property before assaulting one of the victims punching him to the face and arm. The other victim managed to get the attention of a passing motorist resulting in the offenders fleeing.
