On Sunday the 10-08-14 just after 2.00 am a male who was at a bar on Acland Street in St. Kilda celebrating a friend’s birthday was on the dance floor when he was involved in an altercation with another male who struck him to the head with a glass. Security quickly intervened and the offender, described as being of Southern European in appearance and approximately 170 cm tall, fled the bar and was last seen walking north along Barkly Street towards Carlisle Street. The victims sustained two lacerations to his head as well as other facial injuries. Police are appealing for witnesses.
