On the 19-02-14 at around 8.30 am a forty-three-year-old doctor was stabbed multiple times in the foyer of the Western Hospital. A forty-eight-year-old man from Sunshine was arrested at the scene and charged and remanded in custody. The doctor was treated at the Western hospital in a serious but stable condition.

On the 24-01-14 at around 9.30 pm a fifty-three-year-old man opened his front door and was punched and stabbed to his stomach. The victim was discovered by his wife and was taken to The Alfred hospital in a serious condition. Casey police are appealing for public assistance.
