On the 13-09-15 at around 1.00 am three men hailed a taxi on Ferntree Gully Road and requested to be driven to a bar on Princes Highway. Shortly into the journey one of the passengers told the driver he was going the wrong way and became very verbally aggressive towards the taxi driver causing the taxi driver to stop the taxi on the side of the road in Notting Hill and he asked the passengers to alight. The taxi driver was soon set upon and punched to the face and kicked before the three offenders fled. Oakleigh police are investigating the assault.
