On Sunday the 25-05-14 at around 3.00 am a taxi driver was flagged down by two men on the corner of Chapel Street and Malvern Road. The taxi then travelled along Malvern Road and just before the intersection of Orrong Road one of the males grabbed the driver from behind in a headlock and demanded cash. The taxi driver managed to stop at the intersection and while still being restrained in the headlock by one offender the other offender walked to the victim’s window and reached in stealing money from the victim’s wallet as well as other money from the night’s takings. The two offenders then fled on foot and were last seen running along Malvern Road.
