Victims of crime in Victoria are able to claim their travelling expenses, which are currently paid at 63 cents per k/m, for travel related to their trauma.
Remember to always keep a log of when and where you are travelling to and from and the distance travelled in respect to matters relating to your crimes compensation, such as travelling to and from medical, counselling, legal and other appointments.
Also remember that your claim stays open for six years after it has been heard so if you incur any further expenses or require and further assistance you may be entitled to access such during this six year period of time.
