On Friday the 07-12-12 at around 6.00 am a twenty-eight-year-old female was asleep in a St Kilda Motel on Carlisle Street when she was awoken by a male assailant in her room. The assailant proceeded to sexually assault the victim as she lay in bed. The female then jumped out of bed and the assailant fled. The assailant is described as being of Indian appearance and aged between thirty-five and forty-years and the incident is being investigated by the Moorabbin Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT).
