On Friday the 20-09-13 at around 7.30 pm a thirty-four-year-old male was physically assaulted outside a hotel on Durham Road in Sunshine. The victim had been drinking inside the hotel with his girlfriend when he was asked to leave by security staff before being ejected onto the street. The victim was then approached by an unknown male and after a brief argument he was punched to the head causing him to fall backwards and striking his head on the footpath and losing consciousness. The victim was taken to The Alfred hospital with very serious injuries. Brimbank CIU detectives are investigating the physical assault.
