At around 12.30 on the 23-08-18 a male was kidnapped from a residential property in Wantirna and taken to a smash repairs factory in Lilydale where the offenders demanded he give them a motor vehicle under repair at the factory. Yarra Ranges Crime Investigation Unit detectives have since charged a Yarra Junction man with kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, common law assault and committing an offence whilst on bail and was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
