On the 18-11-12 at around 11.00 pm two men, aged twenty-two and twenty-eight years, were arrested by police in St Kilda following a number of armed robberies on the number 96 tram. The assailants used a box cutter and a garden stake to threaten tram commuters before stealing their possessions.
