On the 12-05-18 at around 7.00 pm a male offender armed with a baseball bat attempted to hold up a milk bar on Coleman Road in Boronia. The twenty-one-year-old shop attendant was struck and sustained injuries during the incident and was taken to hospital. A group of bystanders intervened and apprehended the man and restrain him until police arrived. Police then arrested the eighteen-year-old offender from Meadow Heights and charged him with attempted armed robbery.
