On Sunday the 20th May 2018 at around 9.45 pm a forty-three-year-old female was returning to her Toyota motor vehicle parked at a car park in Hiltons Lane, Box Hill, when she was approached from behind by three teenagers. One of the offenders made threats to the victim and demanded her car keys before all three offenders fled in the victim’s car.
It is alleged that the same three offenders were then involved in two armed robberies on service stations early the following morning. At around 12.45 am at service station Blackburn Road, Glen Waverley, and just before 1.00 am at a service station on Warrandyte Road, Ringwood North. Police later that morning, at around 2.30am, located and recovered the stolen motor vehicle in Healesville and arrested two alleged offenders, fourteen-year-old boy and a sixteen-year-old girl were and are currently in custody.
