On Saturday the 19th August 2017 at around 5.30 pm two armed offenders, one wearing a head covering similar to a niqab or burqa, entered a fast-food outlet on Main Street in Croydon with the intent to steal. The two offenders are also believed to be responsible for three other recent armed robberies – a fast-food outlet on Breed Street in Morwell, a service station in Morwell and a business in Traralgon. Police have since charged a twenty-one-year-old female from Narre Warren and a thirty-eight-year-old Frankston man with armed robbery and other related offences.
