On Tuesday 7th February 2012 two men entered through the front side door of Sexyland in Moorabbin and ran straight to the cash register where they threatened two staff members and two patrons with a knife before emptying the till and the safe and the speeding off in a motor vehicle.
In Victoria in 2010 there were 1433 reported victims of armed robbery and 1584 reported victims of unarmed robbery making a total of 3017 victims of robbery.
In such circumstances where a crime has occurred in a workplace the staff may be entitled to seek assistance both via Workcover and through Crime Compensation and the patrons through Crime Compensation to assist them in their recovery.
