On Tuesday the 26-03-13 at around 5.00 pm an eighteen-year-old male was crossing Dandenong Road in Carnegie with his girlfriend when a male from a passing vehicle verbally abused him. The male driver, aged around forty years, then alighted from his motor vehicle and physically assaulted the teenager, caused him to fall to the ground, before stabbing him to his hand with a syringe. The victim was treated at Monash Medical Centre. Bayside CIU detectives are investigating the incident and appealing for witnesses.
