On Sunday the 17-11-13 at around 1.30 am a male, together with his girlfriend, was at a bus stop in Swanston Street when they were approached by three men behaving inappropriately. Both parties then boarded the bus and a short time later one of the assailants head-butted the victim and he was then repeatedly struck to the head and body by two of the males. The bus driver stopped the bus in Russell Street and the two assailants dragged the victim off the bus where he was left unconscious on the roadway before fleeing. The victim was soon transported to hospital with a broken nose and extensive bruising to his face.
