On Monday the 21-04-14 at around 10.00 am a seven-year-old girl was indecently assaulted while shopping with her mother at a supermarket in Cobram. A twenty-five-year-old man has since been charged with one count of an indecent act with a child under sixteen years of age and remanded to appear at the Shepparton Magistrates Court. Julie-Anne Newman, Victoria Police spokeswoman, thanked the public for its help in finding the offender after appeals for assistance appeared in the media.
