On Friday the 27th February 2015 at around 11.00 pm a sixty-eight-year-old male was walking his dogs through Morris Reserve in Pascoe Vale. An unknown male then approached him and started tormenting his dogs with a laser pointer resulting in an argument at which time the offender produced a knife and attempted to stab the elderly victim. The victim managed to grab the knife resulting in sustaining serious injuries to his hand. The offender was described as being Caucasian, aged around twenty-years and wearing a dark hoodie.
