On the 06-08-13 at around 6.00 pm an altercation occurred between two male motorists at the intersection of Station Road in Cairnlea. The motorists both exited their vehicles and a physical altercation ensued during which a man in his fifties was stabbed by the other motorist. The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
