On the 16-10-17 at around 2.15 am a thirty-four-year-old male resident of a home on Cooke Road in Mitcham went outside to investigate noises. Once outside the victim was soon confronted by four male offenders who pursued him down the street before assaulting and repeatedly stabbing him to his legs. The assailants then fled and the victim was treated in hospital. Box Hill detectives are investigating the stabbing and appealing for any public assistance.
