Police in WA recently uploaded a holiday photo located on a stolen ipad on Facebook resulting in the post receiving some 50,000 hits with the owners of the ipad being identified. The ipad was stolen some eight months earlier and the victims were very surprised and very pleased when informed that it had been located by police. This is a great example of how social media can work in assisting in criminal matters.
