On Sunday the 5th April 2015 at around 7.30 pm a male armed with a small axe attempted to steal a thirty-two-year-old man’s motor vehicle in the car park of the Derrimut Road shopping centre. The victim refused to alight from his motor vehicle and the offender stole the victim’s car keys before fleeing the scene. The offender returned to the scene some three hours later where he was arrested by police. A seventeen-year-old male from Point Cook was charged with armed robbery and bailed to appear in a children’s court at a later date.
