On Friday the 24-05-13 at around 7.40 pm three teenage males were assaulted with weapons by a gang of males in Springvale South. The three victims, aged eighteen and nineteen years, were walking in Burden Park when they were approached by a dark coloured motor vehicle containing a group of males. The victims fled and ran south along Olympic Avenue where they were assaulted by a large group of males with iron bars and other weapons. The nineteen-year-old victim was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries, the eight-year-old victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries and the other nineteen-year-old victim was treated for minor injuries. Police are appealing for any witnesses to the physical assault.
