On Friday the 23rd May 2014 at around 1.50 pm a woman was walked along Westmill Drive in Hoppers Crossing when a man on a bike rode past her and attempted to grab her handbag. The female victim refused to let go of her handbag and a struggle ensued during which time the assailant punched the woman to her face causing her to let go of her handbag. The offender was described as being of Islander appearance and aged in his twenties.  Wyndham CIU detectives are appealing for public assistance.
