On Tuesday the 04-03-14 at around 2.25 am a masked and armed male offender entered a convenience store in Bendigo and demanded cash from the shop assistant. The offender was armed with a handgun and was wearing a balaclava. The shop assistant refused to comply and the offender then fled the store to a nearby waiting Commodore motor vehicle parked in Hopper Street which then drove off. Bendigo police are appealing for any witnesses to the attempted armed robbery.
