Police have responded to 70,000 domestic violence incidents where children were present since June 2007, with more than 18,250 incidents during 2011 – 2012.

In metropolitan Victoria Casey, Hume and Brimbank had the most police call-outs for domestic violence where children were present while in rural Victoria Ballarat had the highest.
