Assault – Prahran Nightclub
On December 21st 2013 a male was punched to the mouth causing serious injuries by an unidentified man offender outside a Chapel Street nightclub in Prahran. It is believed that the offender had been having an argument with his girlfriend before he punched the victim. A twenty-two-year-old male from Werribee has since been arrested and remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
Robbery & Assault – Windsor Railway Station
On December 22nd 2013 a male victim was approached by a man who threatened him with a torn aluminium can demanding his phone at the Windsor Railway Station. The victim attempted to defend himself when a group of five males appeared and repeatedly kicked the victim. Two men have since been arrested.
Physical & Sexual Assault – Shoreham
On the 29-12-13 at around 12.30pm a twenty-eight-year-old South American woman was waiting for a bus on Point Nepean Road in Shoreham when she was approached by a twenty-six-year-old male who offered her a lift to the station in his gold Holden utility motor vehicle. The female victim accepted but on route the male stopped on the side of the road and assaulted her. A male from McCrae was arrested on the 31-12-13 and bailed to appear in court in late February 2014.
Serious Physical Assault – Springvale South
On the 27-12-13 at about 10.15 pm a violent brawl broke out between two groups of young men outside Insportz on Springvale Road in Springvale South. A twenty-three-year-old man suffered a 25cm machete slash to his thigh and was taken to Dandenong Hospital and underwent immediate surgery. Police have since charged three men in relation to the incident.
Assault & Robbery – Dandenong
On the 28-12-13 at around 1.45 pm a fifty-one-year-old male was head-butted and robbed while withdrawing money from an ATM on Thomas Street in Dandenong. The offender reached over the victim’s shoulder and assaulted him while stealing cash and his credit card before fleeing. The victim pursued the offender to Robinson Street where he got into the back seat of a silver Holden motor vehicle which then sped off.
