On Friday the 16-11-12 at around 1.30 pm a sixteen year old female left a Milk Bar in Wangaratta and was then followed by a motor vehicle containing two men aged in their forties. The vehicle soon parked across a footpath preventing the young girl from walking past. One of the males then asked her if she would like a lift and when she refused a male got out of the motor vehicle and grabbed the teenage victim by her wrist. The victim tried to escape and the assailant then grabbed her around the waist attempting to lift her off the ground. The victim fought back and managed to escape and ran to a nearby school where police were contacted. The Wangaratta Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Team are currently investigating the incident.
