According to figures produced by the Australian Bureau of Statistics in Victoria in 2011 there were:
- 244 homicides with 158 male victims and 86 female victims and with the majority of victims aged between twenty-five and forty-four years.
- 17,163 victims of sexual assaults with 2,536 male victims and 14,627 female victims and with the majority of victims aged between zero and fourteen years.
- 11,206 victims of robbery with 8,198 male victims and 3,008 female victims and with the majority of victims aged between fifteen and twenty-four years.
- 671 victims of kidnapping or abduction with 266 male victims and 405 female victims and with the majority of victims aged between zero and fourteen years.
