On Saturday 29 February at about 2am an unknown man assaulted the male victim at a McBryde Street address following a minor dispute over damaged property. The offender punched the victim multiple times in the face before fleeing the scene in a taxi with an unknown woman. The 42-year-old victim sustained serious facial injuries during the incident and was transported to hospital. The offender is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, 170 – 180cm tall, with a thin build and dark blond hair. Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a serious assault in Fawkner.
