Stabbing – Balaclava
On Saturday the 01-02-14 at around 7.50 pm a forty-six-year-old male was struck to the head with a bottle outside a licensed premises on Carlisle Street in Balaclava following an argument. The victim managed to walk away only to be stabbed a short time later in a nearby supermarket car park. The male victim was treated at the Alfred hospital in a critical condition. Police have since arrested a thirty-seven-year-old male and a forty-one-year-old male.
Shooting – Thomastown
On the 01-02-14 at around 10.30 pm a nineteen-year-old male was walking along Dalton Road in Thomastown when a shot was fired from a motor vehicle striking the victim to his neck. The victim was rushed to hospital in a critical condition. Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward and assist with their investigation into the shooting.
