On Saturday the 20-04-13 at around 4.30 am a taxi driver was physically assaulted by a male passenger in Montmorency. The taxi driver collected four passengers in Ringwood and during the fare one of the passengers was behaving inappropriately and verbally abusing the taxi driver. The taxi driver then stopped on Main Road and asked the passenger to get out and the passenger then punched the taxi driver to the face and head-butted him. The other passengers  restrained the assailant and they all walked off. CCTV image of the assailant from within the taxi has been provided to police..
