Further financial support to victims of violent crimes was pledged this month, September 2012, by China to help stem the trauma resulting from such criminal offences. Each year in China there are some three million victims of crimes which may now be able to benefit from the program. The program targets those who have been seriously injured or the relatives of those killed in violent crimes.
